Falling leaves without the raking!

The 7th Age read, "Lucky Leaf" by Kevin O'Malley and then painted their own Autumn leaves. Working from real leaves we worked to copy the shape and recreate the coloring. Learning a new paint technique we dappled our paintbrushes to blend the colors more realistically. Just like the book we the decided if we caught a 'lucky leaf'' what we would use our luck for, the answers were as funny as they were varied. One student told me they would use the luck to get 100% on their spelling test while another told me they would sell the leaf online and then collect the cash!
