Walters Field Trip

The 9th Age took a field trip today to the Walters to see their collection of Egyptian, Greek and Roman Artifacts. The students had a one hour docent led tour threw the museum and then another hour in the Studio. Below are pictures of the boys making clay amulets similar to those found in the tombs of Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. Each student first sketched their plan and then created the symbols in clay. We then as a group shared what we had created and what the amulet would protect them from. It was a great morning and everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves.
