Beans, Beans and More Beans

After looking at multiple examples of Ancient Mosaics of many varieties the Ninth Agers began to plan their own. Below are two examples from my visit to the Louvre this past summer. Not only did we look at geometric patterned mosaics but also at mosaics which depicted animal scenes. You can see from the students' work that there was a wide range of patterns and designs that they were inspired to create. The students worked really well and were quite patient with their bean placement, their hard work paid off with such great overall designs.
